Cognitive

The Cognitive Domain focuses on the ability to create and sustain a sense of total control & ability when faced with challenges or moral injury. In the presence of chaos and uncertainty, possibility for flawed judgment increases. Cognitive readiness reduces the effects of the challenges mentioned.

Recovery

The Recovery Focus Area targets sleep and rehabilitation from moral injury of the individual’s brain & body. This supports an individual’s tolerance of repeated exposure to physical and mental stress. Like the rest of the body, the brain has physiological needs for food, water, and oxygen—basic needs that must be met not only to ensure proper brain functioning, but also to sustain life itself.
